Oishee challenges bail denial order



Oishee Rahman, an accused of murdering her own parents, on Thursday challenged the legality of her bail rejection order that was passed by the Court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge in Dhaka.
Judge Md Zahirul Haque of the Court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge fixed October 1 for hearing on the bail petition after
Mahbub Hassan Rana, a counsel for Oishee, submitted it against the rejection order.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Erfan Ullah on September 5 rejected her bail petition stating that the investigation was at a primary stage and that she had confessed to the crime.
Special Branch of police inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and housewife Swapna Rahman were found murdered at their Chamelibagh residence in the capital on August 16.
Their daughter Oishee surrendered to Paltan police in this connection 22 hours later.
She confessed to the killing before a Dhaka court on August 25.
The High Court on Wednesday asked the government to send Oishee, who is now around 19 years old according to a medical test, to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University for a detailed and in-depth examination of her metal state.
